Computer Chess:
Participated in the design and development of the hardware and software of stand-alone computer chess games. This project included the development of a chess robot -- a full size chess board with an onboard chess computer and a robotic arm that would move the chess pieces. This project also included the implementation of electronics and software to enable computer chess machines from various manufacturers to play against each other automatically and to track the results.
Portfolio Analysis and Management:
Participated in the development of an Equity Portfolio Management System used by the largest banks and institutions in the country to manage and analyze their equity portfolios. This system included tools to analyze and evaluate the performance and fundamental statistics for every stock traded on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ exchanges. This work also included the development of the Wilshire 5000 stock index.
Warehouse / Inventory Management:
Designed, Developed and Installed a number of custom Warehouse / Inventory Management systems for companies in the food processing, retail goods and pharmaceutical industries. These systems, which included inventory tracking, order processing, and shipping, streamlined automatic and guided material handling for operators and supervisors... and enhanced the bottom line.
Automation and Robotics:
Designed and Developed a variety of Automatic and Robotic controls -- from small, ruggedized devices for aviation use, to real-time and safety sensitive controllers handling industrial machinery, to high speed data capture and device drivers.
